- If you couldn't guess from the blog title, I'm Catholic. My relationship with Jesus and Mary, formed in the Church he founded, have been a tremendous grace and consolation that I am only now beginning to realize.
- The sacraments, especially Eucharist and Confession, and daily prayer are what gets me though each day.
- I try to bring passion, enthusiasm, and intensity into every task I do.
- I'm Scots-Irish: also probably evident by my blog title.
- The quote about the "Great Gaels of Ireland" probably describes me pretty accurately.
- My family and friends are the greatest blessing God (after the sacraments, his Son, and the obvious stuff) that God has given me in this life.
- I love to read people- beware!
- I believe sarcasm and wit add spice to life.
- I love learning why people think what they think and do what they do.
- Every country I visit I try to bring back a blade from that country.
- I want to learn to track.
- One of my earliest memories is riding with "Gamps", my grandfather, to pick up my dad from work and listening to the Clancy brothers, a traditional Irish group.
- Whereas most people wear kilts for special occasions, for me they are a daily garment.
- I believe a man in a kilt is a man and a half.
- I believe a man is defined by his heart and soul, not his appearance- although my friends might say I just use that as an excuse to have long hair and wear something that looks like a skirt.
- It is my dream to die fighting in the Apocalypse. Since it doesn't seem like this will happen, I guess I'll have to settle for dying each and every day.
- I am not above assaulting you with a Nerf Gun or taking you on in hand to hand combat.
For the great Gaels of Ireland are the men that God made mad. For all their wars are merry, and all their songs are sad.
